Australian Grand Prix - Melbourne, 5th march 1999 FREE PRACTICE
MARC GENE' chassis 03 20th laps 38 best time: 1'36"481 "We worked mainly on the set-up of the car today. I felt soon comfortable with the track which I faced today for the very first time. During the first session l scored a good time. I can judge positively this day because I feel the car is set to face the qualifying session tomorrow."
LUCA BADOER chassis 02 21st laps 22 best time: 1'37"958 "Unfortunately the gear broke at the first round of the second session; I therefore couldn't develop the car as l wished. During the first session my car also had brakes problems and this prevented me from carrying out the work as expected today."
MARC PARISH - Motorsport Programme Director: "It was a good day for us with no problems and we have collected some useful data for the rest of the race weekend from the two cars."
The T-car (chassis 01) is prepared for Luca Badoer
