Ross Brawn is not hiding his disappointment at the outcome of the San Marino Grand Prix, a race where Ferrari found itself in difficulty. "This was an unlucky day for us," said the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Technical Director. "As usual, we will have to analyse all the data to understand what happened this weekend in order to be sure of improving for the next race. Both Schumacher and Barrichello had a difficult start and Michael also had a gearchange problem which saw him miss a gearchange in the opening stages. After that his car had a problem at the left front corner which caused damage to the rim and that meant the air escaped from the tyre. At first it looked like a simple puncture and so Michael was called in for the pit stop. But when we discovered the problem was more serious, we chose to call him and stop so as not to take any risks. As for Rubens, he drove a great race to get on the podium. I must congratulate Williams for today's success. We had predicted they would be competitive and now they have proved to be a tough opponent. It looks like the rest of the championship is going to be very interesting."
