Jean Todt "Today's practice went pretty well. Our two drivers worked on different programmes. Today's quickest times are relatively unimportant and they will certainly come down tomorrow. I think that the fight for pole position will be down to tenths of a second."

Eddie Irvine "Just like at the French Grand Prix, the wind has completely changed direction since last week's test. But this time it has worked in our favour and the car is much better than last week on this track. As the current technical regulations make the cars very wind sensitive, we will have to make sure that the good set-up we have found still works well tomorrow. The only problem I had today was with a broken exhaust."

Michael Schumacher "We had a very productive test here last week and improved the car. In today's session we continued to work in the same direction and improved still further. We got through all our programme today and only used one set of tyres, unlike some of the cars that were quicker than me. Because of this, I am confident we can have a good week-end."

Chassis: Schumacher no. 192, Irvine no. 191 Temperatures: air 20-22 C, track 25-36 C
