St Quentin en Yvelines, September 4th, 2001

After the accident he had last Sunday at the Belgian GP, in Spa -Francorchamps, Prost Acer Brazilian driver Luciano Burti spent the last two days under observation at the Saint Tilman University Hospital, in Liège.

Luciano still has bruising in his head, but shows good signs of recovery, and further examinations confirmed that he suffers from no other injury nor fracture.

After a good night of sleep, Luciano woke up well this morning and could enjoy a normal breakfast. He will remain under observation for a few days, but as he is making a good and quick recovery, he should be out of intensive cares by tomorrow morning, said the doctors.

The whole Prost Acer team renew their best wishes to Luciano and hope to see him back as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the team has decided to carry on with their technical programme and will complete a three-day test at the Magny-Cours track this week. The testing programme includes an evaluation of the lastest developments planned for the remaining races. As previously planned, the team will also take the opportunity to test Czech Formula 3000 driver Tomas Enge. The testing session will start tomorrow morning, Wednesday 5th, in presence of 1800 fans, who will gather for the second Official Prost Acer's Supporters Club Annual Meeting.
