DAMON HAS A NEW MESSENGER!

Top British model, Melinda Messenger, gives Damon a boost. Things are looking up for Damon Hill; not only has he won points in two consecutive Grands Prix for his Benson and Hedges Jordan team, but he has a new fan - top British model, Melinda Messenger. Melinda joined Damon and the Benson and Hedges Jordan team in Hungary last weekend, where she gave the 1996 World Champion an extra boost by taking charge of his pit board during the Saturday morning 'free practice' session. Dressed in the team's racing overalls she posted an encouraging 'Go for it Damon!' message on his pit board, which is used to give Formula One drivers information on their positions as they race around the track. Melinda's support seemed to work as, following her help, Damon gave his best qualifying performance of 1998, placing himself in fourth place on the grid. His success continued the next day when he won a further three points for Jordan by finishing fourth in the race, his second consecutive fourth place finish. Damon is now enjoying a well deserved break with his family before travelling to Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix which will take place on Sunday 30th August.
