TUESDAY JAN 16TH, 1996 ESTORIL TEST Morning session 1. Jacques Villeneuve Williams-Renault 1:31.96 (One lap) 2. Alain Prost McLaren-Mercedes 1:41.86 (Two laps) 3. Damon Hill Williams-Renault No time - into pits The session was cut short due to overnight rain. Afternoon session 1. Jacques Villeneuve Williams-Renault 1:22.10 (28 laps) 2. Damon Hill Williams-Renault 1:23.34 (seven laps) 3. Alain Prost McLaren-Mercedes 1:24.24 (43 laps) During the afternoon session, Hill's car slid off the track at turn two, hitting the barrier with the right rear wheel. He wasn't injured and damage to the car was minimal. Williams Grand Prix Engineering Ltd confirmed that Jean- Christophe Boullion will continue as the team's test driver through 1996. His first scheduled test will be on Jan 18th at Estoril. Hill and Villeneuve will also be testing the same day. Rubens Barrichello and Martin Brundle will test the Jordan-Peuge- ot 196 for the first time at Estoril on Jan 18th. David Coulthard is expected to join Alain Prost as McLaren continue with their pre-season testing program at Estoril on Wednesday, Jan 17th.
