Mugello, 16th February
Circuit: Autodromo del Mugello, 5.245 km
Driver: Michael Schumacher, F2002 chassis n 217
Weather: air temperature 9/15 C, track 6/21 C. Clear skies, then windy in the afternoon.

Fifth and final day's testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Mugello circuit. Today, Michael Schumacher continued with the development of the F2002, concentrating mainly on making set up changes to the car. The world champion began driving at 9.55, ending his work at 17h15. He covered a total of 50 laps with a best time of 1'22"551. Sauber-Petronas was also present at Mugello, with its two race drivers, Nick Heidfeld and Felipe Massa.

"We have continued with development on the F2002, concentrating on set-up, so as to be ready as soon as possible with the new car. Certainly the feeling I got from it today was positive," declared Michael Schumacher at the end of the test. "It's the first time we have been able to work continuously with the F2002 at this circuit. In the afternoon, conditions were a bit difficult because of the wind. All in all, I am happy with the day's work."

Having finished testing at Mugello, the Scuderia will be back in action on Monday 18th February, with Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Luca Badoer all present at Imola.

Today's times
M. Schumacher (Ferrari) 1.22.551, 50 laps
N. Heidfeld (Sauber) 1.24.733, 77 laps
F. Massa (Sauber) 1.25.187, 69 laps
