Raikkonen Researching Best Setup

Driver: Kimi Raikkonen
Car: F2008

Weather: air temperature 15/21 C, track temper ature 19/30 C. Very variable and windy.

This afternoon saw teams competing in the Formula 1 World Championship bring three days of testing to a close here at the Silverstone circuit, which hosts the British Grand Prix on 6th July.

Reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen was at the wheel of the F2008 today for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. The Finnish driver continued with the work initiated over the past couple of days by team-mate Felipe Massa, focussed mainly on the development of new aerodynamic and mechanical solutions, as well as research into the best set up for the car for next weekend's race at this track.

Today was affected by several interruptions caused by cars stranded out on track. The relevant figures for Kimi are: 60 laps completed, the quickest in a time of 1.20.321. "I am pleased with the way testing went," commented Kimi before leaving the circuit. "Obviously it is far too early to say where we can be on this track compared to our main rivals, but I can see no reason why we should not be competitive."

Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro will be back on track next Tuesday, 1st July at the Fiorano circuit, where Luca Badoer will carry out the shakedown of the cars that will be used by the team at the British Grand Prix.
