Heinz-Harald Frentzen was back on form in his Benson and Hedges Jordan Mugen-Honda today, running for the first time since his crash in Canada. He posted the sixth fastest time of the day's free practice session at the Circuit de Nevers, France. Damon Hill posted the 12th fastest time, commenting that he could not find the good balance which he had enjoyed during testing at the circuit last week.
HEINZ-HARALD FRENTZEN 6th 1.18.779 CHASSIS NUMBER 5
"I feel at a slight disadvantage since I did not test here last week. There is quite a lot of work to do to squeeze the last couple of tenths or hundreths out of the car and it would have been good to have been able to test here. There is a lot of information we still need to get. For example, we need to see how the balance is on new tyres and we need to work on a qualifying set up. But I felt ok in the car and was not in any pain, so I cannot complain."
DAMON HILL 12th 1.19.591 CHASSIS NUMBER 4
"I was not as competitive today as I was in testing last week. I do not feel so good about the balance so we need to do some work overnight to get back to where we were."
The T car, chassis 6 is set up for Damon Hill for tomorrow's qualifying.
