Barrichello joins the test on day two at Silverstone

It was another cold start to the morning at Silverstone for the second day of the test with ambient temperatures reaching only 15°c by lunchtime.

Rubens Barrichello joined the team at Silverstone today taking over in chassis RA106-05 from Anthony Davidson. After some early familiarisation runs, he began a tyre evaluation, completing 60 laps during the morning session.

Jenson Button continued his running in chassis RA106-02. He worked through a chassis set-up programme in the morning session, completing 63 laps.

Rubens completed his tyre evaluation from the morning during the early part of the afternoon. He then finished off the session with a short aero programme completing 49 laps, bringing his final lap tally for the day to 109 laps.

Jenson spent the afternoon running through a tyre evaluation looking at the options for the forthcoming races. He completed his full test programme, running for 72 laps in the afternoon session to bring his total for the day to 135 laps.

Anthony will take over from Jenson in chassis RA106-02 tomorrow.
