West McLaren Mercedes continued day two of a three day test programme at the Silverstone circuit today, with Kimi joining Pedro at the Northamptonshire track. The focus of this week's testing programme is Michelin tyre development work for the forthcoming British and Canadian Grands Prix.

Pedro's programme today concentrated on tyre evaluation and set-up work for the forthcoming British Grand Prix, testing both the prime and option tyre. Pedro completed short runs this morning and ran a back-to-back comparison in the afternoon.

An engine failure mid morning cost him time, however the mechanics performed an engine change and he was able to get back out on track for the afternoon session.

Kimi was concentrating on set-up work for the Canadian Grand Prix and tyre evaluation and set-up work for the British Grand Prix. Similar to Pedro, Kimi completed short runs this morning and back- to-back comparisons this afternoon.

Kimi was the fastest man on the track with a time of 1m18.144s, while Pedro was second with a best time of 1m19.212s. Kimi will be joined by Juan Pablo at the circuit tomorrow.
