Sauber Fiorano test notes 2004-04-29

Team Sauber Petronas completed its three-day test at the Pista di Fiorano today. Felipe Massa covered 167 laps in chassis C23-05 to set a best time of 57.315.

"Today Felipe was able to run some more Bridgestone tyre compound tests with regard to the next races and further evaluated brakes and dampers. He has worked hard and ran a lot of laps, thanks to which we finally could complete our scheduled test programme for this week."

"Overall we can say that we did a lot of mileage those days which provided valuable data for us. We now feel much more confident concerning low-speed tracks like Monaco which was the main target of our work here in Fiorano. In addition we were able to achieve good results referring to the brake performance on high-demanding tracks such as Montreal."
