Continuing their testing programme today the Spyker MF1 Team ran test driver Markus Winkelhock and race driver Christijan Albers. Both morning and afternoon sessions were uninterrupted by the weather as the team completed their two day test. The Spyker MF1 Team will now travel to Brazil in preparation for the last race of the 2006 Formula One World Championship.

A testing ban now restricts the team from any more development work until 20th November, during this time the team will be concentrating upon their transition to Ferrari engines for 2007.

Markus Winkelhock:

"Today went quite well although during the first couple of hours the track was a little damp which changed the test programme. It was good experience as I haven't driven an F1 car in slippery conditions before. There were no problems and we covered a lot of laps, overall I am very satisfied. I was very happy to have an additional testing session before the last race of the season and I am very thankful to Colin Kolles for this opportunity."

Christijan Albers:

"I am really happy with how things went today, it was good to be sitting in the car again and the boys did an excellent job testing tyre compounds for Brazil. I always enjoy visiting the factory when I am at Silverstone as it gives me a chance to discuss our progress with other members of the team."

Dominic Harlow (Head of Race and Test Engineering):

"Markus Winkelhock began testing this morning completing 85 laps of the South Circuit at Silverstone and despite initially damp conditions helped the team complete a control systems test and tyre programme before handing the car over to Christijan Albers for the afternoon."

"Albers covered a similar mileage looking at tyres for the forthcoming season ending Brazilian GP and some development items for 2007. The team were very satisfied with a productive day in good weather conditions and look forward to taking what we have learned to Brazil in the hope of a competitive race."

Colin Kolles (Team Principal):

"This was an important test that we had to complete satisfactorily before we leave for Brazil. It was good to have Markus back in the car as he has performed well when filling the Friday testing role at the Bahrain, Australian, German and Hungarian Grands Prix this season."
