McLaren continued to top the the time sheets in today's third day of testing. Fifteen drivers were in attendance and activity on track was eventful as cars rapidly spun off. Swapping places from yesterday, McLaren's Kimi Räikkönen set the fastest time of the morning with a 1.13.159, ahead of team mate David Coulthard and the Jordan of Giancarlo Fisichella. Williams' Marc Gene was the first to spin early on and had to be towed back to the pits. Next up was Renault's Jarno Trulli who went off, swiftly followed by Minardi's Alex Yoong, the Malaysian finishing the morning slower than Mateo Bobbi who was having his second day with the team. The other Jordan of Takuma Sato spun and Trulli finished his morning by taking to the gravel after hitting the tyre barrier.

Eddie Irvine -- slower by almost 2 seconds than team mate Pedro de la Rosa in the R2C -- continuted to struggle with the Jagaur R3, stopping on track with a broken driveshaft.

McLaren were again dominant in the afternoon session, with Coulthard finishing on a 1.12.910, just 4 thousandths of a second ahead of Raikkonen, while Fisichella kept up his strong performance for Jordan in third. Antonio Pizzonia was 4th for Williams ahead of Button, who's engine blew and bought his test to a halt. De la Rosa finished 6th while Irvine again stopped on track and ended up outside the top ten. The three Minardi's, with Formula Nissan champion Antonio Garcia joining Yoong and Bobbi, rounded up the bottom of the times.
