Tests concluded, teams working for Monza's round now

At the end of tests, Eugenio Bizzocchi, FPT Racing engineer, reported with these words his technical point: "These two testing days, on a very fast track as Monza and with a very high temperature, have been a useful test bench for our engines and for the new solutions that we tested.

"The electric problem that was caused by occasional switching offs has completely been solved thanks to the support of Magneti Marelli and we are close to sort another problem connected to the phase that, occasionally causes small power losses for some instants.

"On Wednesday, Piscopo's engine has been replaced due to an overheating caused by some problems at the discharge system of the car; yesterday, Gatto stopped his session due to a problem external to the engine, probably the exchanger water/oil.

"As a whole, our unit is proving to be definitely reliable even if we are experiencing, as was to be expected, some youth problems mostly due to electrical and accessory problems. We are working in collaboration with teams to solve these inconveniences as soon as possible".

Two test days at Monza being concluded, teams got back to work to prepare the third round of the season due in a bit more than a week time at the track near Milan.

Francesco Castellacci, according to unofficial times, confirmed to be the fastest driver with his best lap of 1'48.367. Bortolotti (replacing Nava, 1'48.861) follows, and then Piscopo (1'49.082) and Zipoli (1'49.201). Federico Glorioso was on track too, as he replaced Facundo Crovo in the cockpit of one of the two single seaters of the team BVM - Target Racing.
