SEASON BEST QUALIFYING FOR PATRIZI AT CROFT
Michael Patrizi has achieved his best qualifying result of the season in the Formula BMW UK Championship at the Croft circuit in Yorkshire, England today.
The Australian will start the Round 11 of the championship from third on the grid after performing well qualifying, held in hot conditions on the tough Croft layout.
Patrizi then went on to qualify seventh for the 12th round of the competitive series, giving him confidence of a good result for the two rounds to be held this weekend.
Patrizi is revitalised for the second half of the Formula BMW UK Championship, using the mid-season break to recover from his massive Brands Hatch crash and clear his head for an all-out attack on the second half of the season.
WHAT HE HAD TO SAY --
MICHAEL PATRIZI
"I was really confident after practice and I'm so happy to get some solid results for the team," said Patrizi.
"This is a real turning point for us and my aim is to put in a good drive in both races to help get me to the top of the table."
"To get the best chance of a podium finish you have to start around the front. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's races, as third place for the first race will put me right amongst it, and seventh for the second race is also around the mark."
