We are less than 24-Hour to the first ever Official iRacing 24-Hours of Daytona.

Starting at 8 am ET, hundreds of iRacer’s across the world will be firing up their computers, getting their teams together, calibrating their wheels and getting ready to race.

iRacing has applied their updates to the HPD Prototype withing the game, which according to numerous reports from the digital tracks was that the ‘fixing the nose’ issue has been resolved.

So all that is left to do is register and begin motorsports toughest (ever so slightly less tough) challenge, endurance racing, and participants are excited at the chance to race with friends.

“I'm participating in the iRacing 24-Hours of Daytona because it's a really unique opportunity.  I've been sim-racing for a long time, but to be able to share a car in a 24 hour event with your friends is something I'm really excited to be a part of,” said iRacing user Gael Brooks, who will be competing from his home in Tuscon, Arizona.

The top split race (meaning the race with all the highest ranked iRacers in it) will be broadcast here at Motorsport.com.

Just like the real 24-Hour of Daytona, a lot of preparation has gone into this single event with hundreds of practice server sessions with likely thousands of different drivers and cars have taken place in the past two weeks.

“It's a 24-hour race, it's not a sprint race, so you just can't go at it all-out. If we can take it one lap at a time, one car at a time, and one stint at a time, we'll be in good shape,” said competitor Joey Adgie, who will be competing from Valdosta, Georgia.

Any last minute interested parties should head over to iRacing.com and see if there are any teams looking for a driver to take over a couple stints. It’s a long race. You never know what might come of it.

Check back to Motorsport.com at 8 am ET for the start of the iRacing 24-Hours of Daytona.
