Firestone Indy Lights Drivers Brent Sherman and Bobby Wilson Qualify 11th and 12th Respectively
Wilson will start 11th and 12th respectively, for tomorrow's season finale. The drivers will comprise the event's sixth row.
Sherman currently stands 11th in the championship standings, 20 points behind ninth place Logan Gomez, while Wilson is 13th in the championship after starting only 13 of the 15 races, 33 points behind Sherman. On the season Panther Indy Lights drivers have recorded four victories, all on oval tracks to go along with nine Top Fives, 11 Top Tens, and one pole in 15 races.
Brent Sherman, No. 16 National Guard Delphi (Indy Lights):
"After I saw Bobby's time I thought that they had a tire going down and that we were going to have a lot faster time. It turns out we are right there with them. It is a little disappointing; I thought I would contend for the pole. We made some small changes to the car, but even small changes on these cars can have big effects. I am going to go hard after it in the race. We'll have a good car tomorrow, and we've been good on ovals all year so I should be able to pass. I'm looking forward to it and getting my first (Firestone Indy) Lights win."
Bobby Wilson, No. 15 National Guard Delphi (Indy Lights):
"We just went a bit slower than we did earlier in practice. I thought that our time would be more competitive for the pole. I am not sure what happened if there was a small problem with the car or not. The guys are working hard on the car, so it is no fault of theirs, and they and I are getting adjusted to each other pretty well. I'm going to have to drive around people tomorrow for the race, but I've moved up on every oval race this season, so we'll be there tomorrow for the race."
