DIFFICULT QUALIFYING PRACTICE FOR TEAM SAN CARLO HONDA GRESINI RIDERS. DE ANGELIS TWELFTH AS NAKANO SEVENTEENTH

Team San Carlo Honda Gresini riders have been engaged today in qualifying practice that have defined the starting grid for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, in the United States.

Alex De Angelis and Shinya Nakano will start tomorrow respectively from the twelfth and seventeenth position, a result to of under of their expectations, above all in reference to both riders performances shown in the three rounds of free practice.

Alex De Angelis (12th - 1' 41''969): "I'm unhappy about the opportunity I missed today to improve my time just before the end of the session. During the last lap, in fact, I met a rider who was getting back to his box and that made me lose time. In any case I'm happy about the work we are carry on with Bridgestone because today I could improve even with qualifying tyres. I'm satisfied about my race pace, because I could be among the fastest riders. So I feel confident and hopeful for tomorrow race. Anyway starting from the fourth row is not easy and it will be important to make a good start and to be focused during the first laps".

Shinya Nakano (17th - 1' 42''732): "This afternoon the track was completely dry and I could push everywhere, because the setting of the bike was good. Unfortunately I couldn't improve my times with qualifying tyres, even if during the last turn I could have earned something if I had not met a group of riders who slowed me down, since they were getting back to their boxes. Tomorrow the race will not be easy, in any case I'll do my best to finish a good race".
