After a tough race at Mugello last time out Toni Elias was again forced to grit his teeth in the name of championship points at Silverstone today. The Spaniard always knew it wouldn't be an easy affair following a difficult weekend in practice and despite his best efforts he was only able to make up eight places from his grid position.

Toni Elias ( 10th):

"Finally the weekend is over, we just haven't found the right way forward at all. We are clearly struggling and we need to work out why - I'm sure when we do we'll take a massive step forwards again. This was the first Moto2 race I had done in the mid-pack and it wasn't easy. I didn't make a good start and then had a few other problems but managed to increase my pace and make up positions but with a big group of riders ahead of me and behind it was really tough. I don't want to cause any controversy but there were a few riders around who were slowing me down and making things difficult for me. Anyway, that's the way the race went and now we just have to think positive and look ahead because we have taken points from a tough race and now we must do better."

Vladimir Ivanov (19th):

"I've finished inside the top twenty and that is a positive for me. The next objective is to get in the points and if I continue to improve in this way I should be there soon."

Fausto Gresini:

"There is not much we can say other than that this is not the kind of position we expect to be in so we need to work to understand why it happened and make sure we don't have race like Mugello and here in the future. I have complete faith in the rider and in the team and I'm sure it is just a difficult phase that we will come out of soon."
