Moto2 World Championship leader Toni Elias will start his home race from the front row of the grid tomorrow, although his position could have been better than fourth if it wasn't for excessive traffic on the track. The Spaniard ended today's qualifying session frustrated by what could have been but optimistic ahead of what promises to be a tough race. The intense heat and the proximity of his rivals certainly won't make life easy for Elias but the local favourite is confident of a positive result.

Toni Elias ( 4th 1' 48" 089) "I am happy because we start from the front row and we have a good pace for the race. The work we have done this weekend has been positive and if we get a good start tomorrow we have a chance of fighting for the win. Unfortunately in the qualifying session this afternoon we got held up by traffic and it seems to be something that is happening at every Grand Prix just now. I think we need to have a meeting and discuss how we can change this situation because it is difficult."

Vladimir Ivanov (31stn 1' 49" 036) "I improved by another two seconds on yesterday but it wasn't enough to move me up the order, which is a shame. Anyway, my race pace is decent and I'll do my best tomorrow to pick up a good result."

Fausto Gresini "Today wasn't bad although it is clear that tomorrow's race will be a tough one. We are competitive though and we'll see what kind of pace the others are capable of tomorrow. The team's objective is to continue doing a good job and to bring home as many points as possible, which will be important for the championship."
