Brickyard testing

NASCAR Winston Cup Series teams will test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway July 16-17 and July 24-25 in preparation for the eighth running of the Brickyard 400 on Sunday, Aug. 5. July 18 and 26 have been reserved as rain dates.

The hours of testing for each practice day are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST), with a lunch break from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Although the tests are private, the public can view testing from the south terrace grandstands, located inside the track between Turns 1 and 2, free of charge.

Testing rosters were determined by owner points this year. Teams occupying an odd-numbered points position as of June 15 will test July 16-17, and the even numbers will test July 24-25. A complete testing roster follows on the next page. <pre>
