"After a strong run at California it feels really good to be coming back home. Charlotte is a great track and I really enjoy racing there. It's nice being able to spend some time at home and race in front of our hometown fans. Saturday night racing is the best, and it would be great to win the only night race of the Chase. I've got a good UPS Ford, and a great team, so we've got what it takes to do well this weekend."

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway:

"California was a good momentum builder for us. We got another top 10 under our belt and can keep working on trying to repeat that and running consistently. The guys did a great job on pit road and David held up his end on the track. Charlotte is a good track for us so hopefully we can carry that momentum over into this weekend."

* Ragan has five prior Sprint Cup Series starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway. His best finish came in the fall of 2008 where finished 10th.

* Ragan has competed six times in the Nationwide Series at Charlotte in which he has three top-10 finishes.
