Michigan: Kyle Busch post qualifying interview

KYLE BUSCH , NO. 5 KELLOGG'S/CARQUEST MONTE CARLO SS - QUALIFIED THIRD

ON HIS QUALIFYING LAP:

"It was a good steady lap, just going down the front straightaway into turn one. One and two was a pretty good corner for me. I felt like I got through there as best as I could. Didn't quite get the throttle down as good as I wanted to because I was just a little bit too edgy through the corner but down into turn three and four, we've been tight down there all day long so we got down into the corner and it wanted to pick up a little bit of a push so I slowed it down real quick and it cut for me and I just stepped on the gas and drove off the corner. I thought it was going to be a pretty lap. I wasn't sure how fast I was going to be respective to the rest of the field today but it ended up being pretty good. I'm not so sure that going out early was an advantage or disadvantage but I felt like that was definitely a great qualifying effort and a reasonable time."

HOW ARE YOU GETTING THROUGH THIS WEEK WITH ALL THE ANNOUNCEMENTS?

"It's been busy. It's been a lot but you just try to go about things as best you can. You've got a lot to think about. There's still the guys and everybody at Hendrick Motorsports you've got to think about and your future you got to think about and everything. You've got to put it all in perspective and look at the items that you need to concentrate on most and put those at the top of your list."
