Ford gets Air Dam Change
As a result of a rules change Sunday. Ford will be able to lower there front air dam 1/8" for the Atlanta race. The rules change upset drivers like Johnny Benson who feels if there is a rules change it should be for the Pontiacs. Kyle Petty echoed his feelings by saying "I guess when you start dominating races you get a rules change to help you".

In an interview with NASCAR Live last night a NASCAR official said that interpreting the rule was the key to deciding the legality of Rusty's engine. The rule book reads that engines must have a 14.0 to 1 ratio of compression. Wallaces engine was measured at 14.011 to 1. Had the rules read 14.000 to 1 he would have been in violation. Said the official, "He was about as close as you can get.
