TONY STEWART, NO. 14 OFFICE DEPOT/OLD SPICE IMPALA SS, QUALIFIED 4TH:
"It was a good lap for our Office Depot/Old Spice Chevy but it was the ugliest lap I think I have ever run here at Sonoma. It didn't turn, it didn't go forward, it didn't run clean but we ran a good lap, so we'll take that."

RYAN NEWMAN, NO. 39 HAAS AUTOMATION/U.S.ARMY IMPALA SS, QUALIFIED 7TH:
"We struggled in practice, but that was a good qualifying lap for the Haas Automation Chevy. We were a little too loose, and I probably could have pushed it harder but I was a little conservative because I wanted to make sure we had a solid qualifying lap. Our car wasn't perfect, but if we can make it a little better in practice tomorrow, I think we will be really good on Sunday."
