Texas: GM teams Friday notes

All Chevy Front Row at Texas Motor Speedway; Inclement Weather Cancels Qualifying

Ft. Worth, TX - It is an all-Chevy front row for Sunday's Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway following the cancellation of qualifying due to inclement weather.

Jeff Gordon, No. 24 DuPont Monte Carlo SS will start on the pole by virtue of his being the points leader through the first six races of 2007. Jeff Burton, No. 31 Prilosec OTC Monte Carlo SS will start along side Gordon.

Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe's Monte Carlo SS, with line up third. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Busch, No. 5 Cheez-It/CARQUEST Monte Carlo SS will start fifth on the inside of Denny Hamlin, No. 11 FedEx Express Monte Carlo who will be in the sixth starting position.

Clint Bowyer, No. 07 Jack Daniel's Monte Carlo SS will start seventh, Tony Stewart, No. 20 Home Depot Monte Carlo will lineup eighth and Kevin Harvick, No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil Monte Carlo SS will round out the top-10 starters.

Two practices for the 43 starters of race number seven of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season are scheduled for Saturday.
