Pure Silk sponsors Moise

NEW YORK Pure Silk Shaving Products For Women announced it has signed NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division driver Patty Moise to run a limited schedule for the 1997season. Moise will be driving a Chevrolet under the Pure Silk colors at Dover Downs International Speedway in Dover, Del. in May and Watkins Glen International in upstate New York in June. Pfizer, the maker of Pure Silk, sponsors Moise's husband Elton Sawyer in the Barbasol Ford Thunderbird, which also competes on the NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division. Joe Varde, engine builder, will provide the team with engines for the two races. At the track, Moise will be driving cars prepared by the Shaver Racing team. Shaver Racing is the same team responsible for preparing Kyle Petty's race cars for the NASCAR Busch Series events. "I am delighted to represent Pure Silk at the track," said Moise, who finished the 1996 NASCAR Busch Series season in 31st place. "And I am very excited about racing this season." Pfizer, Inc. has also retained this unique, professional husband and wife race car driver team to star in a new Pure Silk commercial that was shot at Concord Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. "Starring in a commercial is something new for both of us, be we love adventure and enjoyed our acting debut together," Moise said.
