WHERE: Ensenada-Baja California, Mexico (65 miles south of U.S./Mexico Border) TO Cabo San Lucas-Baja California Sur, Mexico (Southernmost tip of the Peninsula)
COURSE: 1,676.94 miles (approximate total mileage) with 23 checkpoints. The race will start in Ensenada adjacent to the Riviera Convention Center and finish in Cabo San Lucas at the bullring, adjacent to the Villa del Palmar Beach Resort.

HISTORY: In the 32-year history of the SCORE Baja 1000, it has started 25 times in Ensenada; three times in Mexicali (1972, 1993, 1994); twice in Tijuana (1967, 1995); once in Santo Tomas (1998); and last year in Ojos Negro. It has finished in Ensenada 15 times, in La Paz 14 times,in Mexicali twice (1993, 1994) and last year in Ojos Negro. The last time it finished in La Paz was 1998. This year will be the first time a SCORE race has ever finished in Cabo San Lucas.
TELEVISION: Shoemaker Productions will produce the race as a one hour special to air on the Speedvision Network. First airings-Nov. 15, 7& 11pm(PST), Nov. 16 at 11am(PST)
