Monza: Alex Zanardi weekend summary

SEVENTH BUT ...FIRST OF THE BMWS!

Dear Friends,

Monza's weekend unfortunately confirmed the worries of the eve. I finished race two as the best BMW, a result that some time ago would have been worth the first place of the podium but today, despite starting from the pole position due to the eight place in race one, it has not been possible to do better than the seventh place.

Putting on track cars technically very different with each other is definitely not an easy task for those who have to find a performance equilibrium and in the present frame the BMWs at Monza ended up by struggling a bit both in terms of turn exit and top speeds.

Despite these technical considerations, I am personally very satisfied by my weekend: I run two good races and I found a lot of heat from fans, that as usual at Monza manage to give me the edge over.

The three points that I take home allow me to move a bit my classification and I hope to improve my position even further with the two Asian exit that await us before the end of the season.
