V8SDS: CSU students support Bathurst event

CSU BATHURST SUPPORTS FUJITSU V8 SUPERCAR SERIES DRIVERS

Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, will host Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series drivers Michael Caruso (Decina/Speed FX Racing) and David Clark (Optima Sport) on Wednesday October 4 as they drive simulated laps of Mount Panorama in the CSU Computer Games Lab.

This experience will form an important part of the driver's preparation for their races supporting the Supercheap Auto 1000 this weekend and showcases the Bathurst local community's support of one of Australia's premier motorsport events.

WHO: Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series drivers Michael Caruso (Decina/Speed FX Racing) and David Clark (Optima Sport) along with Errol Chopping, Lecturer in Computer Science at CSU.

WHERE: Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, in the Computer Games Lab, building S15. Meet at the CSU Mini-Mart at 11.30am to be guided to the labs.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 4 at 11.30am.

WHAT: Michael Caruso and David Clark will be driving some simulated laps of Mount Panorama ahead of their support races at the Supercheap Auto 1000 this weekend. Caruso has never raced at Mount Panorama and Clark has not driven a V8 Supercar at Bathurst, so this experience will form an important part of their familiarization with the circuit.

The Computer Games Lab at CSU is fitted out with enhanced graphics PCs, game consoles, a large fixed silver projection screen, high powered projectors, audio systems, joysticks and steering wheels.
