Nicolas Dapero scored his first Pro Mazda victory, after Team Pelfrey teammates Pato O’Ward and Aaron Telitz collided exiting Turn 2, damaging the former’s car and resulting in a drive-through penalty for the latter.
Aaron Telitz drove it like he stole it but had no need, comfortably eclipsing all his Pro Mazda rivals and winning by over 10 seconds to score his third victory of the season.
Team Pelfrey kept up its perfect win record in Pro Mazda thanks to “Pato” O’Ward’s victory at IMS, but a slip by teammate and prime championship rival Aaron Telitz broke Pelfrey’s string of 1-2s.
