Marc Gene:
"Today's has been a very exciting battle. I did a good start without
being involved in the big accident at the beginning. I soon reached the
cars of the leading group and I tried to keep their pace. I was struggling
with Jenson Button, Mika Salo and Johnny Herbert but I was not as quick as
they and I could not overtake. Perhaps I could have aimed at the points but
I really pushed over my limit and honestly I couldn't do more than
this."
Gaston Mazzacane:
"It has been a very tough race for me. After ten races, I believe that
this was the most difficult one. I struggled with the first set of tires
since the very beginning of the race and only after the pit-stop I could
continue running in better conditions. This is clear if we look at the
times I posted which were far better than those of the beginning. I hope to
be luckier in the next race."
Gabriele Rumi:
"Today's was a pleasing day for us. We did a good race and with
today's result we have proved the competitiveness of both the car and
the driver who was able to defend his position struggling for a result
which was conquered without any gift given. Gaston has experienced a
problem with the first set of tires, but he gave a valuable contribution to
the good result obtained by the Team finishing a race where both Minardi
cars crossed the finishing line."
