Thursday 14th June 2001 -- a productive three-day test for the Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda team at Silverstone in preparation of the European Grand Prix on the 24th June. The test saw development driver Patrick Lemarie take to the track alongside test driver and Formula 3 ace Takuma Sato. Regular driver Olivier Panis took over testing duties on Wednesday and on Thursday he was joined by teammate Jacques Villeneuve.

OLIVIER PANIS "It has been a good couple of day's. We have worked on set-up and tyres for the next race and all has gone well and we have made progress. I am pleased with the work although I am a little jet lagged, but the team have worked well and we have all been encouraged by the results of this week's testing programme."

STEVE FARRELL, CHIEF ENGINEER "It has been a very successful and encouraging test. We have been working through a number of development items and we are happy with the data and information that we have collected. We will be looking to introduce the performance parts as soon as possible as part of our overall development plan. It has been a good three-day's and this was the last opportunity for us to run at Silverstone before the British Grand Prix in July so it was important to utilize as much track time and collect as much data as possible from this test."

ANDREW ALSWORTH, TEST TEAM MANAGER "It has been an important test for us. Our main objective was reliability and tyre testing which has gone according to the planned schedule. We have had four of our drivers here which has been very beneficial and we have been able to collect a significant amount of data in preparation of the next race.
