Barrichello not complaining about points system

After the Canadian Grand Prix Michael Schumacher and Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo both expressed some disappointment in the 2003 points system, but Rubens Barrichello is not complaining. Di Montezemolo labeled the system 'absurd' and Schumacher said he was "not so pleased with it" because the German has won four races to Kimi Raikkonen's one but is only three points ahead of the Finn.

"But, this is the system we have to live with for now. Complaining about it is like buying a pair of tennis shoes you have wanted for a long time and then going round lots of other shops to see if you can find them at a cheaper price. There is no point getting upset once you have bought them!"

The Brazilian, along with Schumacher and test driver Felipe Massa, spent most of this week testing at the Silverstone circuit in the UK and said the weather hadn't changed much since he lived in England at the start of his career.

"I had a great time in England when I lived here," he commented. "But on Tuesday (17th June) it was very hot and everyone thought it was fantastic, and then by Wednesday it was back to normal English weather with a strong wind and cloudy skies."

Ferrari generally only test at Silverstone once a year and Barrichello was happy to be back for a visit: "I enjoy being here, because although I race for Ferrari and not an English team, the fans know me well and I have a good time. I love this track and testing is going well," he said on Thursday.

"I was delighted to be quickest for the past two days, which reflects the fact I am very happy with the set-up of the F2003-GA on this track."
