BRAWN GP AGREES PARTNERSHIP WITH MAPFRE GROUP IN BRAZIL

Brawn GP is pleased to confirm a one-race partnership with Spanish insurance company, the MAPFRE Group, for the Brazilian Grand Prix which takes place at the Interlagos circuit in the city of Sao Paulo this weekend.

The partnership will see MAPFRE and Banco do Brasil branding on the engine cover and front wing of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button's BGP 001 cars for the duration of the weekend.

The MAPFRE Group is the largest insurance company in Spain and Latin America and the agreement with Brawn GP will represent the company's first venture into Formula One at the sport's only Latin American Grand Prix venue.

Ross Brawn, Team Principal at Brawn GP said: "We are delighted to confirm our new partnership with the MAPFRE Group for the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend and to have MAPFRE and Banco do Brasil branding featuring on our cars. The Brazilian Grand Prix is set to be a very exciting race for Formula One and we look forward to sharing our experiences with MAPFRE over the course of the weekend."

Antonio Cassio dos Santos, President, MAPFRE Group said: "We believe that there are many synergies between Formula One and the insurance industry where innovation, high levels of technological innovation, strategy and great teamwork all come together to create a winning team. The MAPFRE Group and Brawn GP share all of these attributes and we are delighted to be partnering with the Championship leaders at the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend."
