DAVIDE UNDER BRIATORE WING

This morning at the Portimao autodrome in Portugal the first part of the Renaulf F1 2009 launch has been held. Together with Alonso, Piquet and Grosjean there was even our driver Davide Valsecchi, who was wearing the official Renault Driver Development overall. Which means that from now on Davide's career will get on under Flavio Briatore wing, a very important step of the stairway leading a talented driver towards Formula 1.

Davide was particularly happy, maybe be a bit moved, when he said: "For me it's a honour, now I hope to demonstrate I deserve it. First of all I wish to thank the persons who helped me to arrive here. In front of me there is a very demanding GP2 season where I must deliver clear and convincing results, which is not easy. So I will do my best in terms of commitment, trying to keep to right concentration to be fast without making mistakes. But today I want to enjoy the event till the end because for me to be here, near a champion like Alonso and a team like Renault, is really very wonderful."

Ivone Pinton said. "For me and for Durango being able to take Davide here means an enormeous satisfaction which we hope to celebrate with a nice result in Bahrein". Tonight the launch will continue with the press conference while in Bahrein Durango is already working for this weekend GP2 Asia Series races.
