Team Sauber Petronas started its three-day test at the Circuito Permanente de Jerez today. Giancarlo Fisichella covered 73 laps in chassis C23-02 to set a best time of 1:19.287. Felipe Massa in chassis C23-03 ran 93 laps with a best time of 1:19.450.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Chief Race Engineer):

"Today Felipe has done the roll-out of our third chassis. Although it's been quite windy today which made it sometimes difficult to drive we completed our scheduled programme without any technical problems and the new chassis proved to be reliable."

"In the morning both drivers focused on set-up work for Jerez. In the afternoon Giancarlo concentrated on Bridgestone tyre construction tests while Felipe assessed new front wings and new cooling configurations. He also did Bridgestone compounds work for us."
