Team SAUBER PETRONAS completed its three-day test at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo today. Giancarlo Fisichella covered 76 laps in chassis C23-02 to set a best time of 1:10.466. From 2 to 4 February the team will be testing in Barcelona.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Chief Race Engineer): "Our test programme for today basically focused on Bridgestone work whereby we concentrated on the assessment of different front and rear tyre constructions. In addition we undertook some brake evaluations. Despite of losing valuable test time yesterday due to the interruption caused by a mechanical problem we were able to complete our programme for this week on the whole.

"Overall we are satisfied with what we've done these days. The car is, of course, still new to us and so is the team which consists of several new members this season. It is a big learning process, but we believe that we are doing well.

"Next week we are testing in Barcelona, which is a high-speed track. Bridgestone work will be on our schedule again, but due to the nature of the track we will concentrate on high-speed tyre assessments."
