Following a six week break while the teams have been racing in Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain, the test teams returned to the track today in preparation for the start of the European season, which begins next weekend with the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday 27th April.

AT&T Williams joined eight other teams today at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, for day one of a four day test. Kazuki Nakajima was on driving duties for the team and set the seventh quickest time of the day with a 1:22.431 and completed 72 laps, 335kms, in mostly dry conditions.

Sam Michael, Technical Director:
"Today we started a four day test in Barcelona with Kazuki Nakajima driving the FW30. The morning was spent working on the 2009 tyre programme with Bridgestone, then the rest of the session was devoted to suspension work in preparation for the Spanish Grand Prix next week."
