The final Grand Prix of the 2014 Formula 1 season takes place this Sunday at the spectacular Yas Marina circuit. The race is unusual in being the only one that is held in two very different degrees of light, starting in the late afternoon in daylight, but soon running into the sunset, at which point, the 5.554 kilometre long Hermann Tilke-designed track is entirely floodlit. The Drivers’ title is not settled yet and neither is the Constructors’ classification set in stone. Scuderia Ferrari therefore wants to end the season in the best possible way, trying to make the most of the opportunity provided by the double points on offer, which is another unique feature of this event. The verdict has yet to be delivered.
