Catalunya Collective Test preview

Burti and Bernoldi seduced by the Dallara-Nissan cars.

Barcelona 25 February 2003 The World Series by Nissan celebrates tomorrow its first official Collective Test at the Circuit of Catalunya. Twelve teams will be participating in this two-day testing program. SEVEN of the drivers that will be participating in this Collective Tests had already experimented the excitement of driving a Formula One car: Franck Montagny (FR), Luciano Burti (BR), Enrique Bernoldi (BR), Stephane Sarrazin (FR), Esteban Tuero (ARG), Giorgio Pantano (ITA) and Narain Kartikheyan (IND).

The Dallara-Nissan cars will start testing from 10h00 a.m. The RenaultF1 test driver, Franck Montagny, who has signed with team Gabord Competicion, will made his first appearance with the Spanish-based team, alongside the Finnish driver, Heikki Kovalainen.

Luciano Burti will be testing for Adrian Campos Motorsport. The powerful Dallara-Nissan cars will feature the new increased power pack (450 CV). Enrique Bernoldi will test with RC Motorsport, as well as his Brazilian colleague Tuka Rocha.

Racing Engineering, the World Series wining Team, will test two experimented drivers: the Belgian Bas Leinders, third best driver in the WS, and the Frenchman Stephane Sarrazin.

Gabord Competicion, KTR, Epsilon-Euskadi, and Saulnier Racing are the only teams that have confirmed both drivers for the 2003 Season.

The first meeting of the World Series by Nissan will take place at El Jarama Circuit the next 30th of March. This year, the Series will Belgium (Zolder), France (Magny Cours), Italy (Monza), Germany (Eurospeedway), Austria (A-1 Ring), and Brazil (Interlagos).
