Essex racing driver, Ryan Hooker heads 'home' this weekend to race in the Visma Software Formula Palmer Audi championship at Brands Hatch on Sunday August 17th.

23 year old Ryan from Upminster is currently lying second in the championship which has produced such stars in the past as current British F1 star, Justin Wilson. Ryan's efforts are made all the more impressive as this is in fact his first season of open-wheeled, single seater racing. As the reigning Porsche 924 Champion, Ryan's move to Formula Palmer Audi has seen him receive much praise after a stunning debut, achieving his maiden win in only his fourth race and securing consistently high finishes to be within just 19 points of the leader going into Rounds 7 and 8 where a race win can earn 24 points.

"I'm really looking forward to racing at Brands Hatch" says Ryan, "Lots of family and friends will be turning out to support me which will be great. It's a fantastic circuit to drive with lots of overtaking opportunities."

Ryan comes to Brands Hatch having scored an impressive second place in Round 5 held at the historic Italian Monza circuit and is keen to score more podium finishes at the Brands Hatch.

Ryan has his eyes firmly on the championship as the season now enters its second half, "My sights are on finishing the season in the top three minimum, but I can see I'm in with a real chance of the title and I'm going to go for it!" he says with determination.
