It was a day of tweaking and tuning for Team BOC's Jason Bright at the Perth 400 today.
With three practice sessions on the opening day of round 5 of the V8 Supercar Championship, teams could spend plenty of time adjusting the car for the notoriously slippery Barbagallo circuit.
In the first session on old tyres Bright finished 11th, in the second 18th and the final session with fresh tyres the Team BOC VF Commodore finished 16th, less than half a second from the top.
For Bright and Team BOC the day wasn't about the numbers so much as the development of the car for tomorrow's qualifying and two 100km races.

"We're not too far at all from the top, at the end of the day I didn't get the best lap in on the greens (new tyres). We changed a lot with the car today. The old tyres we used threw us a little bit of a curveball with set up. You can't predict that though. I think pace wise the team's up there so I think we should roll out tomorrow pretty strong."
Round 5 of the V8 Supercar Championship is a 'Super Sprint' event with two 100km races tomorrow followed by a 200km race on Sunday.
