Adelaide, South Australia, 12th January 2004 - Adelaide based Rupprecht Motorsport kick off their season next week with Round One of the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series. The Series opener is at Wakefield Park in NSW from 20th to 22nd February.

Not content with racing just one car in their first full season, the team is running three AU Ford Falcon Supercars.

Rupprecht Motorsport is the new team on the block, but Ralf Rupprecht has a wealth of experience and knows how to win in the big time. Ralf has worked with Formula One teams and has run cars in the DTM, Daytona 24 Hour, American Le Mans Series and the Australian V8 Supercars.

"We have had our hands full over the last few months", said Ralf Rupprecht. "We have been working 7 days a week to prepare the cars and just to make it a bit more interesting we moved into a larger workshop last week."

"Monday is test day at Mallala. We will have all three cars on the track and all of our drivers will be there. It is the first time the whole team will be together and it is a very important shake-down session for our cars, drivers and pit crew. The real thing will be less than a week away."

The driver line-up has been announced for 2004;
Car #90 Phil Scifleet
Car #89 Ross Halliday
Car #55 Mal Rose

Mal Rose and Ross Halliday bring a wealth of experience to the team. Phil Scifleet, the 23-year-old from Sydney has had a very successful racing career to date, and his first full season in a V8 Supercar should be impressive.

Adelaide based driver, Adam Wallis, will also join the team for the Clipsal 500 and Mallala Rounds.
