Ricci Completes Provisional Qualifying in 13th Place
Giacomo Ricci #18 Banca Italease / Lotto / Global / Mazda-Cosworth
"I tried as best as I could to get a good result today," said Ricci. "I had some areas of the track that I wasn't able to get as fast of a speed as I wanted but it was good place to start. I am hoping that there will not be rain tomorrow so that I can get a better lap time and have a better start position for Sunday."
Matt Lee #44 Integrated Solutions / Mazda - Cosworth
Matt Lee did not run in qualifying today due to a penalty he incurred during the morning practice session after contact occurred with #45 of Adrien Herberts near turn #8. He will return to the track for the Saturday final qualifying session.
Steve Ragan, Conquest Racing Atlantic Team Manager
"Giacomo had a strong run today but we were unfortunately only able to finish 13th," said Steve Ragan, Conquest Racing Atlantic Team Manager. "The fast corners here at Mont Tremblant are very challenging but I think he will only continue to improve with more and more time on the course. We're going to work on a few minor changes for the car tonight and look forward to a stronger showing tomorrow with both cars."
