Moser edges Mallow for Top Eliminator Title at Big River.
BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (June 15, 2002) David Mallow of Bonne Terre dazzled the fans at Big River Sand Drags with some spectacular runs on his way to winning first place in the Open 4x4 class Saturday night, but a funny thing happened on his way to winning the top eliminator race, second place finisher Phillip Moser of Bonne Terre wasn't laughing. Moser knocked off Mallow in the top eliminator race to claim that title.
In Off Road Modified, Corey Dee of Bismarck was the first place winner, but once again it was the second place finisher, in this case Wayne Harris of Belgrade, that was the winner of the top eliminator race. In Stock Buggy, Josh Harris was both the top eliminator and first place winner while Ralph Smith finished in second place.
In Vehicle ET, J.R. Dreher of Wentzville captured first place with Jeremy Hooper taking second, but it was Hooper winning the top eliminator race. In Super Pro ATV, James Delaloye Jr. of Eureka finished first with Jimmy Burns of Bonne Terre second, but Burns won the top eliminator race. In Pro ATV, Donnie Burns was both the top eliminator and first place winner while Paul Turner finished in second place.
In ATV-1, Jim Glatczak of Potosi was the top eliminator and first place winner while Colby Hulsey finished second.
In Junior ATV, Allie Glatczak (Jim daughter) was the winner with Eric McCoy of Potosi taking second place.
Racing action at Big River Sand Drags continues this Saturday night with St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club Night. All fan club members will be admitted free with membership card.
