Michael Schumacher took to the track in England. On a day affected by rain, the German driver was at the wheel of an F2004 working on car set-up and tyre testing. Schumacher covered a total of 30 laps, with a best time of 1:26.404.

At Monza, another F2004 was on track with Luca Badoer at the wheel. The Scuderia's official test driver was tackling a programme centred on tyres and aerodynamics in preparation for the back-to-back North American legs of the series -the Canadian and United States Grands Prix which gets underway next week. Badoer completed a total of 86 laps, the quickest being a 1:21.450.

The Scuderia's test programme continues tomorrow as follows: Schumacher and Barrichello will alternate at Silverstone, while Badoer continues at Monza.
