The Prost Acer Team completed today a 4-day test at the Valencia Circuit in Spain with official drivers Jean Alesi and Luciano Burti. The session's objectives were to develop and to optimise the electronic system, and to carry out a tyre programme with Michelin, in preparation for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Tuesday, the team ran one car with Luciano Burti, who was then joined by teammate Alesi on Wednesday. The two drivers split duties, working on different programmes. Friday, last day of testing, on a track which had been artificially wet, Michelin conducted an evaluation tyre programme with all three Michelin-equipped teams testing at Valencia. Prost Acer took part with only Jean Alesi.

In spite of rainy and unstable weather, the team was able to complete its preparation work in view of the upcoming race in Austria. The drivers, having focused on different programmes, made the session particularly productive. During the 4 days the team also tested some new elements which will be introduced later on.

Day 1: Luciano Burti 42 laps 1'18''349 anti-spin / launch control software validation

Day 2: Jean Alesi 48 laps 1'17''183 electronic software development programme

Luciano Burti 58 laps 1'16''135 mainly chassis set-up

Day 3 Jean Alesi 34 laps 1'16''105 electronic software development programme

Luciano Burti 56 laps 1'15''238 Tyre development programme

Day 4 Jean Alesi 68 laps 1'10''182 (on short circuit) Michelin wet tyre evaluation progr.
