Sven Heidfeld gains valuable experience with F.3000 Team Draco at the MotorShow.

The famous F.3000 Team Draco and the talented German Sven Heidfeld (brother of the F.1 ace driver Nick Heidfeld) took part to one of the most important and famous Italian motor racing event: the MotorShow.

Every year the best champions of each motor racing category (from F.1 to motorbike, from motocross to rally) meet in Bologna in occasion of the MotorShow to meet the people coming from all the world and to battle in short but fighted races.

Traditionally two days are dedicate to the powerful F.3000 cars that can express their 480 engine horse power in the track Area 48.

More than 100.000 people were present on Sunday 8th at the MotorShow and saw the Lola B99/50 F.3000 cars and confirmed the popularity of this traditional and international motor racing event. A lot of the drivers that took part to this 2002 MotorShow Euro 3000 Series race won the title the previous editions such as Biagi, Lancieri, Cioci so the young and debutant German Sven Heidfeld had to battle with more experienced drivers.

In spite of this he was able to show a great performance. On the first day he set the fastest time during the official timed practice signing a lap time of 21.40 sec. that resulted also the fastest of the all race. His driving ability and fast drive came up since his first approach on the track where he signed the 2nd fastest time during the free practice.

Qualified for the quarter final Sven lost the race against Cioci and Gollin because of a not perfect start that penalized him a lot. The German driver, in fact, resulted faster during all the lap but lost some important tenths at the green light. The time to qualify for the semifinal in fact was determined by the sum of the 2 manches (3 laps for each manche).

Absolute debutant, this 2002 year, at the MotorShow's event Team Draco Multiracing declared its big satisfaction for Sven performance and driving qualities already noted at Vallelunga test on the last 23rd November and would be happy to continue its collaboration with him.

Team Draco last year won the 2001 title of the Euro 3000 Series Championship with Felipe Massa, the young Brazilian talent F.1 driver. In its history Team Draco has always reached important results and gained a great experience in F.3, Euro 3000 Series and FIA F.3000 International Championship. With Team Draco's car has driven young pilots like Zonta, Barrichello, Massa that then became important F.1 driver.
